  2. From the customer profile, select the files tab;

  3. From the staff profile, select the files tab.

To upload a file, use the side navigation and click the files icon or click the link below.

To upload a file, click the Upload Files button or drag your file into the window.

Supported File Types

Scout supports most image and text files. If you have difficulty uploading a file, click here for a list of acceptable file formats.

Edit File Attributes

Once you've uploaded a file, you can add tags and a description. Additionally, you can assign the document to a staff member or customer.

(Note: If you are uploading a file from a staff or customer profile, the document will be assigned to the person automatically.)

To edit the file attributes click the pencil icon next to the file.

Download Files

To download a file, click the download icon next to the file.

Note: Every browser handles downloads differently. For example, if you're using Google Chrome, text files will be downloaded to your designated downloads folder. Image files will be shown in a preview window and can be downloaded to your computer from there. Please refer to your specific browser's documentation for more information.

Delete a File

To delete a file, click the "X" icon next to the file you wish to delete.

Find Your Files

To find your files, you can filter by:

  1. File Name,

  2. Description,

  3. Tags, and

  4. Users

Filters can be used one at a time or in conjunction with the other filters.

Share Your Files

To share a file click the link icon next to the file to copy the link.

To share, paste the link and send it to the person you wish to share it with.

Anyone you share the link with will have access to this file. To un-share the file, you will need to delete the file and re-upload it.
