How to Use the "Sticky Note" Feature

The "Sticky Note" feature is a convenient way to leave important notes on a client’s profile that you or your team can easily see and access.

What Is a Sticky Note?

A Sticky Note is a pinned note on a client’s profile that remains visible for quick reference. Unlike other notes, Sticky Notes are always displayed prominently on appointments and client’s profile, ensuring that crucial information is not overlooked. These notes are perfect for keeping track of specific details about a pet, preferences, or anything you need to remember during visits.


Adding a Sticky Note

  1. Log in to Scout:
    Open the Scout and navigate to your client list.

  2. Go to the Client’s Profile:
    Click on the client whose profile you want to add a Sticky Note to.

  3. Locate the Sticky Note Section:
    Once on the client’s profile > Account Details > Update (It’s displayed near the top section of the profile.). Look for the Sticky Note field.

  4. Enter Your Note:

    • Click “update”

    • Type in the information you want to highlight on.

    • Examples:

      • "Rex prefers slow introductions to new people."

      • "Client requests no peanut butter treats for Bella due to allergies."

  5. Save the Note:
    Click the "Save" button (or equivalent) to ensure the note is pinned to the profile.


Editing a Sticky Note

  1. Navigate to the client’s profile where the Sticky Note is visible.

  2. Click on the "Update" icon button.

  3. Update the note with new information or make changes as needed.

  4. Save the updated note.


Deleting a Sticky Note

  1. Open the client’s profile.

  2. Click on the "Update" button on the Account Details section.

  3. Delete the Sticky Note.

  4. Click “Save”


Tips for Using Sticky Notes Effectively

  • Keep Notes Concise: Short, clear notes ensure that key details are easy to understand at a glance.

  • Use for Critical Information: Reserve Sticky Notes for important details that need to be seen frequently, such as special pet care instructions or key client requests.

  • Review and Update Regularly: Make sure your Sticky Notes remain accurate by periodically reviewing and editing them.


Visibility and Access

  • Sticky Notes are visible to all team members with access to the client’s profile, making them an excellent tool for team communication.

  • Sticky Notes will be shown on all appointments for that customer.

  • Any updates to a Sticky Note will be immediately reflected for that user.

Q: Can I use Sticky Notes for multiple clients?

Each client can have their own unique Sticky Note tailored to their needs.

Q: Are Sticky Notes private?

Sticky Notes are visible only to your team members within the Scout platform. Clients cannot see these notes.

Sticky Notes remain on the client’s profile for ongoing reference, while appointment notes are specific to individual appointments.
