How to Set Up Auto-Gratuity:
Access Auto-Gratuity Settings:
Navigate to the Settings section on your Scout account.
Select Gratuity.
Enable Auto-Gratuity:
Toggle the Auto-Gratuity option to enable it.
Once enabled, this feature will automatically prompt customers to add a tip at checkout.
Set Default Gratuity Percentage:
Choose a default percentage (e.g., 10%, 15%, or 20%) that will be automatically added to each transaction.
Customers will still have the option to adjust the tip percentage during checkout if they wish.

Navigate to Billing section: Select Gratuity
Gratuity preferences: Enable the option to add gratuity to all appointments.
Adjusting the Tip: They can choose to leave a flat amount or percentage. The default gratuity percentage will appear automatically. Clients can choose 10%, 15%, 20% or 25%.
If they chose a flat amount they can apply the fixed amount
Click “Save” and the flat or percentage amount will be automatically applied to the next appointment.
Disabling Auto-Gratuity:
To turn off Auto-Gratuity, simply toggle the feature off under the Gratuity Settings. Once disabled, clients will no longer see an automatic tip prompt during checkout.
How to enable Auto-Gratuity on the Pet Parent App: iOS & Android.
Select "Yes, enable gratuity on all my appointments"
Tap on the drop down menu. You will be able to select a flat or percentage amount. Select the amount you would like to be added a gratuity to all your appointmens:
Tap on the "Save" button and all set!
NOTE: In the check-out email, the button to "Leave a Tip" will have a message that states the client already left gratuity but can add more.
