We are excited to get everyone moved over to Stripe! Please follow the steps below to move your customer credit cards over. We are here to help if you run into any issues or have questions.

Step 1: Create a Stripe Account via Our Scout Web App

To start the migration process, you will need to create a new Stripe account through our Scout web app.

Step 2: Request Migration from Braintree Support

After creating your Stripe account, you will need to contact Braintree's support at https://developer.paypal.com/braintree/help and select "Migrating Credit Card Data" as your issue near the bottom with your request to migrate your payment cards to Stripe. Please make sure to write in the same email that you registered with Braintree.

Step 3: Share Migration File Output with Our Support Team

Once your migration request has been processed, Braintree will generate a secret key encrypting all of your payment card information and share that with you. You will need to share this file with our support team by sending it to support@scoutforpets.com or in our chat.

Step 4: We'll Migrate You With Stripe

Once we have received your migration file, it will take us 2-3 business days to work with Stripe to complete the migration process. During this time, we will be working to migrate your payment card information from Braintree to Stripe.

Step 5: Confirm Your Migration with Our Support Team

Once we have completed the migration process, we will reach out to you to confirm that the migration has been successful. At this point, you will need to log in to our Scout web app and click "Confirm Migration" to finalize the migration.

Note: Your first Stripe payout typically takes 7 days. You can get this out of the way by running a $1 charge after you set up your account.

Congratulations! You have now successfully migrated your payment card information from Braintree to Stripe. Should you experience any issues or have further questions, don't hesitate to reach out to our support team for assistance.
