When starting with a new software, we realize that the last thing anyone wants to do is re-type all of their data. We get it!
If you're coming from another dog walking or pet sitting software, in most cases, we can import your customer, pet, and staff data with no problem if you use our template (see below). Unfortunately, we cannot import appointment data due to the way different softwares store this information.
Copy and paste your customer, pet, and staff data in the appropriate template below and send it over to us email@example.com. Templates can be opened in a program such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
Important: do not alter the template or we will not be able to import your data.
Staff + Customers
State (use 2 letter abbreviation)
Customer Email Address (this is the easiest way for me to do a lookup from the customer import to properly associate the pet)
Active (we typically use this as indicator if the pet is deceased)
For some fields, you’ll notice that we've created drop-downs that list accepted values. For example, gender is stored as m or f. Kind can be dog, cat, etc. Please make sure you use the values listed or it could cause problems with the import.
