Effective Monday November 6, 2017

If you signed up with Scout prior to November 6th, 2017 Scout fees were passed on to customers by default. As a result of our price change, your fees will decrease by $0.20 per appointment. Here is a quick guide to help you through the new fee options. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask for support.

The following options will NOT be available until Monday November 6th

To change your Scout fee options Navigate to Settings>Billing and scroll down to the Invoicing section.

Scenario 1: Include Scout Fees in Service price is currently OFF

If you choose not to make a change, your customer will be now be charged $0.20 per appointment instead of $0.40 as a separate line item reducing their overall invoice amount.

Scenario 2:

Include Scout Fees in Service price is currently ON

If you choose not to make a change, your global service rate will drop by $0.20. For example, if you currently set your service price to $20.00, your customer is invoiced $20.40 per service. They will now be charged $20.20 per service.

If you would like to to keep your invoice prices the same, you have two options

  1. Continue to passthrough the scout fee and increase your service price by $0.20

  2. Turn off the passthrough option and increase your scout fee by $0.40

Scenario 3: Include Scout Fees in Service Price is currently ON but using a workaround, you are currently covering the Scout fee internally

If you have lowered your services prices to offset the Scout fee, you can turn off the passthrough feature and increase your service price by $0.40. For example, if you service price is $20.00 but you currently have your price set to $19.60 to cover the fee, you can raise the service price to $20.00 and turn OFF the passthrough feature.
